Inspector Decides Chippinghurst Crossing is not a Right of Way - May 2016

The planning inspector has decided that there is not a footpath which is a public right of way across the River Thame at Chippinghurst.

This follows the public enquiry which took place in Garsington in March when interested parties made their arguments.

The inspector made his decision on the balance of probabilities and he decided there is not a footpath across the river at the stepping stones. This was largely based on the lack of historical evidence for there being a public right of way at this location.
