Replacement of the broken drainage pipe at Denton Green has now been completed. The new pipe is substantially larger than the old one and so there should be no problems with flooding when there is heavy rain. Thanks again to David Keene for funding and organising this project.

There is a vacancy for a representative from our parish to be a governor at Garsington School. This vacancy is caused by the resignation of Nick King, who had served diligently as a governor for some considerable time. The normal term of office is four years, so if you are interested in volunteering or would like to find out more about the post then please let me or one of the councillors know. I am assured that the duties are not particularly arduous.

The goal nets on the recreation ground have now been replaced. This took a while to do because initially wrong sized ones were supplied. Hopefully the new ones will last for a few years to come.

The District Council has granted planning permission for an extension to be built at 23 High Street in Cuddesdon (P13/S1281/HH), for an extension to be built at 4 Hill View Cottages in Cuddesdon (P13/S1688/HH), and for conversion of a garage/store into a playroom/study at Willow Cottage in Denton (P13/S1436/HH). The Parish Council had recommended approval of all three of these applications..
