The bonfire night and fireworks event this year just broke even, with the attendance very similar to last year.

Chris Luke again obtained a good deal for the sausages from Cricks, the butchers in Wheatley. The event ran very smoothly, with the serving of the food and letting off the fireworks particularly efficiently run.

The Parish Council would particularly like to thank for their help Kathy and Keith Hawley, Ian and Nicola Holmes-Brown, Gillie King, Therese and Waveney Luke, Jan Raynor, Graeme Sellar, Bishop Humphrey Southern, and Jez and Tasha Turner. The event would not be possible without the help of these and many other people.

There is a planning application for the replacement of some sheds by a barn in the garden of The Orchard in Cuddesdon (P18/S3070/HH). The Parish Council has no objections to this application.

The County Council have said that the road closure on Denton Hill planned for 8th January is so that BT can fix the leak coming from their manhole cover.

For the third time in recent months Thames Water have left road closed signs up long after they have finished their work. This has meant that people have been taking a detour of several miles completely unnecessarily. Thames Water have been contacted about this and asked to be more courteous in future and remove the signs as soon as the work is completed.
