I hope everyone’s had a good start to 2024.
Many of you will have seen activity at the Bat & Ball and we look forward to the pub re-opening very soon. The popularity of the pop-up pub before Christmas shows only too well the importance of this village hub and many thanks to Nicola and Jon for 3 days of merriment in ther Village Hall that reminded us how much we like to get together.
I wanted to take a moment to mention all the ways you can find out information and news about the Parish, aside from this Newsletter.

The Facebook page has been running for years now and remains a great source of information about events and also at times urgent news.

Many of you will know that we set up a Parish Covid 19 Support WhatsApp group at the start of the pandemic. This has now been relabelled as the Parish Support and News Group. It is run by the community for the community and if anyone knows neighbours who would like to join then please ask. Amongst the Administators on the group are Jeremy Turner as well as Evie Bennett and myself from the PC.
Importantly the WhatsApp group is for news that’s important for all of us and at times could keep the village safe, so it’s not the platform for general gossip, as we want parishioners to stay on and not be deluged with too many posts.
I look forward to seeing many of you in the pub soon.
