A message from Ben Moss, the new owner
It is great to be able to report that the kitchen works start in mid-September, including work to upgrade the kitchen vent system and to fit a silencer on the extractor. The work on the restaurant and bar area starts imminently with the help of local David Putt, bringing back the brick fronted bar, cosy coffee/drinks area and seating for around 48 in the dining area.
We are about to ‘break ground’ on the reconfiguration of the lettings rooms. Working with an interior designer from InsiderdealingsW4, we are creating four larger rooms with space for small lounge areas including sofa beds (or space for a cot), and one standard double room. Expect country cosy style rooms.
We are thrilled to be bringing back the old cricketing names for the rooms, having found them on a rather faded piece of paper in the boiler room: May, Dexter, Hobbs, Grace and Croucher.
The aim is to open at the end of October and we are still looking for happy and friendly members to join our team as kitchen porters, and for housekeeping and front of house, full time or part time.
