From the Parish Council Chairman - June 2025

E-mail Print

There is little new to report this month, but the Parish Council continues to seek a permanent Clerk and I want to thank the Councillors for stepping up to make sure we get things done while we are short of this crucial support.

It was brilliant to see the whole village enjoying the Fete and it’s also inspiring to see the enthusiasm of parishioners who’ve been helping to get the Village Orchard off and running.

It was a delight to hear the church bells ring out to celebrate Gladys King’s 100th birthday on 12th May. A true Cuddesdon legend.

If you want to keep up with the business of the Parish Council then please go to the Cuddesdon and Denton community website where you can find minutes and agendas.

Many thanks also to those who helped with the litter pick. Although we picked up a lot of rubbish there seemed to be marginally less fly-tipping waste than last year. Fingers crossed that the trend continues but please continue to report fly-tipping and potholes on https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/. The more people who report things, the quicker they will hopefully be dealt with.

For anything you want to discuss with the Parish Council please contact one of us or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We are monitoring the Parish Council email, albeit a little slower than we do when we have a Clerk.

I hope everyone has a great start to the summer.

Chris
