From the Parish Council Chairman - July 2022

First of all I want to thank the whole Parish for coming together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

To everyone who helped organise the events, you did an amazing job and, despite the threat of rain at the Sunday shared lunch, it was a great decision to still bravely set up outside so that we could all enjoy ourselves on the Rec together.

June was a busy month in our family and I suspect it was for many of you too. The train strikes weren’t very helpful to those of us who have to commute and I hope we won’t get too much more industrial action that will affect parishioners in the coming months.

In the meantime I hope that everyone enjoys the summer whether you’re heading away for a week or two or remaining here in South Oxfordshire. Our flights to see the cousins in Spain have already been cancelled once so there’s no absolute guarantee of getting away. On the other hand, our little Parish is a wonderful place to be at this time of year so if we’re here for the duration we can still count ourselves very lucky.

Ohana,

Chris
